Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

• Account information, such as your name, email address, profile image, and authentication identifiers provided through Clerk and your selected sign-in method.
• Billing information, such as plan, subscription, customer, transaction, and invoice identifiers received from Creem. Minus does not receive or store your complete payment-card details.
• Usage information, such as credit balance, maps created, feature interactions, dates, and service events.
• Submitted content, including search briefs, role criteria, instructions, and other information you choose to process through the Service.
• Support communications, including the content of messages you send and information needed to resolve your request.
• Technical information, such as IP address, browser and device type, request logs, security events, and essential session-cookie data.

Professional information in Talent Maps

The Service may process professional information about potential candidates when a user submits it or requests research through a configured data source. This can include names, roles, employers, experience, skills, and source references. Customers are responsible for using this information lawfully, checking consequential claims, and respecting applicable privacy, employment, and source-specific requirements.

How we use information

We use information to:

• provide, personalize, and maintain the Service;
• authenticate accounts and protect users from fraud, abuse, and security threats;
• create requested Talent Maps and calculate credit usage;
• process subscriptions, reconcile payments, and provide billing support;
• answer questions and troubleshoot problems;
• understand reliability and improve product performance; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal information.

Service providers and sharing

We share information only as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, fulfill your requests, protect rights and safety, or comply with law. Our core providers include Clerk for authentication, Creem for checkout and subscription management, PostHog for product analytics and session replay, hosting and infrastructure providers, and talent-data sources that a customer configures or requests. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

We may also disclose information when required by a valid legal request, to investigate abuse or security incidents, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain account and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and protect the Service. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it is processed. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should use a secure sign-in method and notify us if you suspect unauthorized account access.

International processing

Minus and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Privacy and data-protection laws can differ between jurisdictions. Where required, we use reasonable measures intended to protect information during such processing.

Your privacy choices

Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information associated with you, or object to certain processing. You may also request account deletion and cancel a subscription from the available account or customer-portal controls. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may be retained where required for security, transaction records, or legal compliance.

Children

The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, contact us so we can review and address the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes through the Service or your account email.
